Originally from Northwest Montana, Claire Morison has worked as a recording and mixing engineer in Los Angeles, CA for over a decade.  From her first job as the live-recording engineer at KXLU as a senior at Loyola Marymount University, she started as an intern/runner at Westlake before she graduated in 2013.  One of her early passions was recording bands live to tape and she was hired as an engineer at the northeast LA institution Bedrock Recording Studios not long after.  In 2020, she had the opportunity to open her own studio amidst the pandemic, and renovated a space in order to fit her creative vision and honor what she had come to learn about feeding inspiration and how to curate an environment for artists.

Claire is inspired to make records that are true to the artist’s intentions but are elevated both sonically and creatively.  It is her goal to make sure the artist is as comfortable as possible while creating and that all the hard work that goes into making a record is done as effortlessly and efficiently as possible, all while sounding amazing.  Claire specializes in recording and mixing live instrumentation and loves to experiment with different sounds and techniques.  Her main influences include artists such as Radiohead, Modest Mouse, Frank Ocean, Elliott Smith, the Pixies, Kendrick Lamar, and Sonic Youth - all musicians that aren’t afraid to push the envelope creatively.
